February 5, 2013
January was a great month for the church. February started with a bang. This past Sunday night, Feb 3rd, the power of the Holy Ghost fell in a tremendous way, starting in the prayer service and continuing through the rest of the evening, there was worship, praise, singing, shouting, dancing, it was an exciting service.
The Bible says to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Not only that but it says to clap your hands all ye people, and shout unto God with a voice of triumph. Music and exurberant worship has been around since early Bible days, Miriam danced and played a timbrel for the Lord. David danced before the Lord with all his might! Don't be embarrassed to make a joyful noise unto the Lord, in worship, praise, music, and clapping your hands. The Lord delights in the praises of his people.
Psalm 150 is a great example of how to worship the Lord, it says praise ye the Lord, praise God in his sanctuary, praise him in the firmament of his power, praise him for his mighty acts, praise him according to his excellent greatness, praise him with the sound of the trumpet, praise him with the psaltry and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance, praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord, praise ye the Lord. The part that says LET EVERYTHING that hath breath praise the Lord... Thats YOU and me! God bless.
