From the Pastor's Desk - February 5, 2013

January was a great month for the church. February started with a bang. This past Sunday night, Feb 3rd, the power of the Holy Ghost fell in a tremendous way, starting in the prayer service and continuing through the rest of the evening, there was worship, praise, singing, shouting, dancing, it was an exciting service.

The Bible says to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Not only that but it says to clap your hands all ye people, and shout unto God with a voice of triumph. Music and exurberant worship has been around since early Bible days, Miriam danced and played a timbrel for the Lord. David danced before the Lord with all his might! Don't be embarrassed to make a joyful noise unto the Lord, in worship, praise, music, and clapping your hands. The Lord delights in the praises of his people.

Psalm 150 is a great example of how to worship the Lord, it says praise ye the Lord, praise God in his sanctuary, praise him in the firmament of his power, praise him for his mighty acts, praise him according to his excellent greatness, praise him with the sound of the trumpet, praise him with the psaltry and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance, praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord, praise ye the Lord. The part that says LET EVERYTHING that hath breath praise the Lord... Thats YOU and me! God bless.

Pastor Champlain

2013 has begun and it will be an exciting time for our church. We were blessed with the ministry of Brother Johnny Carroll in January, we also took the church van over to attend a conference in Grants pass where we had a great time of fellowship with anointed Holy Ghost preaching and singing. Some of the church members are planning to attend the No Limits conference in Sacramento the first week in March, the church van will be used for that trip as well.

In the month of April we will be celebrating our 5 year anniversary here in Gold Beach, there will be special speakers, singing, food and fellowship on April 6th at 2pm and April 7th at regular service times. Everyone is invited and we hope to see you there. God has done great things for the church the past 5 years, many Revivals, people receiving the Holy Ghost, Baptisms in Jesus name, Bible studies, and of course Sunday school. What a great time to be living for the Lord. I encourage you to put your faith in God and expect a miracle, with God all things are possible, make 2013 a year of spiritual growth in your life! God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.God bless all of you.

As we move into another year, we can look back and see the blessings of the Lord! We were able to carpet the Sunday School area, and what a blessing for the kids. We were all blessed by the "Boot Camp" conference that we are sponsors of, this conference takes place each summer. Also, some of the church members were able to attend the "No Limits" conference in Sacramento, California at the Rock Church, where we enjoyed singing, anointed preaching, and a great time of fellowship, what a blessing.

We had our own Revival services here at our local church which included: Brother Garcia and his wife, Brother Stewart and his family, Brother Doyle Champlain and his wife and granddaughter Trista, who blessed the church in sign language, Brother Neff and his wife preached and sang, Brother James Champlain and his wife, who comes every year, and Evangelist Brother Bellow and his wife came and ministered this past year, as well as several others!

We have much to be thankful for in 2011, but I believe that 2012 will be our greatest year of Revival yet! As we enter into the New Year "expect Revival", if you have wanted to do something for the kingdom of God, this is the year to do it! God has already shown that he is with us, as we had three separate miracles of healings happen in the church this last year, as well as several baptized, but this is just the beginning. God is getting the church ready for "End Time Rivival". You can be a part of what God wants to do in our local assembly here in Gold Beach, don't wait on others to do something, the Bible says "If God be for us, who can be against us"? Nothing will ever stop the word of God, Jesus said the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church! So, step out on the authority of the word of God, the "truth", and begin to move into spiritual areas and levels that you have only dreamed of. Let 2012 be the year that you help others become grounded in the word of God, thus leading them to a greater understanding of their full potential in Christ Jesus.

May the Lord richly bless you throughout the entire year!

Pastor Mike Champlain

As we move into the summer months we are having excellent weather and enjoying the beautiful area that we live in. God created so many great places on this earth for us to enjoy. He also gave us a great church and great people to go in it. I would hate to go through life without the church. The church is a place where we can come into the presence of the Lord, hear good music, uplifting songs, have praise and worship, and lift Him up. If you have just come into the church or if you have been in the church for many years you will find that when the saints of God gather together you can feel the unity of the body of Christ in love and fellowship. Thank all of you for making this that kind of place for us, our families, children, and our community.

God bless all of you!

Pastor Mike Champlain

Easter Sunday has always been a special time to get together with families and friends and celebrate the holiday with food and fellowship, but Easter is much more than seeing friends and family. It is a time to remember the resurrection of the Lord. The salvation that we have today through the blood of Jesus should never be forgotten. The message that he lived, died, and rose again should always keep us in awe and respect to the house of the Lord and the things of God. So on this Easter Sunday as you spend the time with family and friends remember the reason we celebrate is because:

[HE IS RISEN]

May the Lord bless each of you
Happy Easter
Pastor Mike Champlain
